The Synapse is an installation piece, part of The In-Between series. The Synapse forces the viewer to crawl into the space, with no idea what is inside. Inside consists of several fragmented facial casts of the artists face, which appear to hover off the walls and a painting of an alien-like figure. The participant is encouraged to sit in the space observing these pieces, which are representational of a psychotic episode in the artists mind.
Outside view of Synapse. Room form constructed from Wooden Board, with carpet inside. Approx 12ft by 6ft.
